Hunting Ronald and The Gang,

It never occur to me that I'll be having my daughters' birthday in a fast food. Not because I'm snobbish but I have planned another theme for her birthday even before she's born. But I'm a MUM-Bankrupt-SAHM. I have to follow my sponsor. (sadly)

I looked over SP Forum (as always) for tips and advice on which food shop isn't strict with venue set-up and all. And between Jollibee, Shakey's, Pizza Hut, Max's and KFC. Mcdonald's is the best choice for a pasaway like me. I'll take the venue and food, but the set-up should be my ideas. BY HOOK or BY CROOK.

I do become really obsess with party planning especially I have nothing to do but prepare Blair's milk.

The goals were:
- Venue than can hold a 100 pax
- Complete Ronald and The GangMascots
- Permits Candy Buffet
- 12:00 onwards available timeslot and
- Atleast 3 hours party time.

March 31, 2012.
8:00 a.m.
We went to the nearest and most accessible branch.

Mcdonald's Metropoli

Room 1 - 70 max. capacity
Room 2 - 90 max. capacity

Functions Rooms are at the second floor. Only separated by glass doors. So if there's another party in your time slot there will surely be a riot.  They give 2 time slots if you want but if you opt to just extend your party for 30 mins or an hour. You should pick the earliest or the latest slot. They can provide all the mascots but the only thing that hindered me was there were no more available time slot for our date.
Good thing about this franchise is that they have complete mascots. If you want them all to appear, you pay 1250 or 500/mascot.

then we moved to

McDonald's Eastwood

Function Room at the 2nd floor has a 45 max. capacity, need I say more.

and down to the last, somewhat near is the
McDonald's El Pueblo

Function Room has a 160 max. capacity. It is really big, but the floor plan is kind of like a capital letter "P".and the tail of that P won't be able to see what's happening in the stage. They cannot also guarantee that all of the Mascots will appear because some are under repair.

Ofcourse, I spent a lot with our cab fares so I won't back down on hunting. We went home first, put Blair to sleep and off I go alone to a very complicated, unknown land to me. Quezon City.
It was a good thing my phone has a tracker and a traffic update applications. Without it I would not even have the guts to go outside Ortigas.

I went to Eton Centris first, Lucky me! There's no Mcdonald's there. (blah)

The nearest on my tracker was of that at

Mcdonalds North Ave. cor Mindanao Ave. more known as Mcdonald's Mindanao Ave.

Both very near to Trinoma and SM North Edsa. There was a party when I went there. I asked how many are the guests they said around 70 guests.
Oh my they can hardly stand, the stage was okay, at least you can move there but still it's too little for me. It's like a box. They don't also allow getting 2 slots.

Function Room 70 max. capacity

On my way to Mcdonald's Quezon Ave. The cab passed by Mcdonald's West Ave. but by the look it's small. (so yeah i judged it by it's cover. haha)

Mcdonald's Quezon Ave

Room 1 80 max. capacity
Room 2 80 max. capacity

both rooms look like the one I saw at North Ave. box type function rooms. But Room 1 was situated beside the playground or play place, whatever that was called, while Room 2 was near the entrance.

I'm starting to empty my fare budget so instead of going to greenhills on a cab i chose the MRT. lol and right at the foot of MRT Quezon Ave station there's a Mcdo. which I'd call

Mcdonald's Edsa cor Panay Ave.

Function Room 70 max. capacity
The location of this branch isnt really appealing, though it's so easy to find, but it was too busy. Place was crowded in and out.

Last Resort, My only hope.

Mcdonald's Greenhills

Function Room 100 max. capacity

I got this because, it is newly renovated, February 2012, and very chic and modern. Furnitures to pillars to every detail. It is so chic! There's a party while I was there and I got to talk with the host, she's so daldal and humorous. Gave in to all my requests but sadly, they can only provide 2 mascots.

When they say that is the maximum capacity, most of time it means the area will be sooooo crowded. more likely, 2/3 of that max capacity is the ideal number.
The restrictions for supplier depends on the branch/franchise. They have F colors as balloon suppliers, Some will let you have your own supplier, some do not. sometimes depends on the manager you talked to. hehe

Here is their Food Menus but you can also customize
Especially that of Party Package 1 and 2 . There's a toy included. it is not practical to still get the toys when you already bought a lot of game prizes and souvenirs.

Their Payment Option is really good. You only pay the Party Fee, and pay the food after the party.

Party Fee depends on your theme
Ronald and The Gang - 2,000
Others like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse etc. - 3000

It includes
- a gift for the celebrant depending on how much your party will cost
- 30 invitation cards
- 30 party name hats
- 30 craymats
- 30 balloons
-30 giveaways
- 18 game prizes
- character appearance

There's also Mcdonald's Frontera Verde

Nearest to my place but I had two friends who celebrated their son's birthday here and they said how it became a disaster because of crew negligence and how the host was such a bore. I go here often so I didn't bother checking their function area because for a summer birthday, it's going to be really hot. The 2nd floor has no air conditioning.

Credits to:
*Princess Cruz and Princess Velasco for helping me travel their home land. haha.
*To the people who owned the pictures I posted. I grabbed the first decent picture google showed me.
*SP Moms who gave me boost that spending Blair's birthday here isnt that bad according to your reviews.
